Blazers Drop Season Opener

The 2023-24 Eastside Blazers regular season tipped off Saturday night at Dekalb High School. This game was a tale of two halves as Eastside came out with high energy against a tough nosed Barons team. The Blazers won the first quarter 16-15 and went into halftime down just 1 against the 4A school after Dekalb knocked down a 3 at the buzzer making it 29-30. Second half turnovers and hot shooting from the Barons broke the game open during the third quarter and Eastside was unable to fight back as Eastside fell 38-72. Ryder Reed and Noah Acquaviva led the way for Eastside both scoring 11 points, Loden Johnson added 6, and Clay Minnick finished with 5 points on the night.
