The Blazers were back on Gerb Court for the second of four straight home games on Tuesday night as they took on 1A Canterbury High School out of Fort Wayne. Eastside got off to a slow start at the beginning of the first quarter but fought back to end the quarter down just 11-15. Canterbury regained momentum in the second stanza winning 16-9 which put the Blazers down 20-31 at the half. Eastside came out fighting in the third period but unfortunately were not able to make up any ground as they tied the quarter at 10 heading into the last frame down 30-41. Canterbury once again took control finishing the game ahead 63-43. Clay Minnick led the way for Eastside with a season high 18 points including 8 in the 4th quarter and went 6 of 6 from the charity stripe and also added 4 assists. Noah Acquaviva added 10 points and 4 rebounds for his second double digit game of the season and Nolan Baker finished with 9 points.

The Junior Varsity Blazers also took on Canterbury on Tuesday night, falling 25-53. Colton Crothers was the leading score finishing with 9 points while Konnor Johnson added 5.

Next up for Eastside is their first conference game of the season against Prairie Heights on Saturday night with junior varsity starting at 6:00pm and varsity following shortly afterwards. Saturday's game is a promotional night as we will be recognizing our youth feeder teams including our 3rd/4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade teams at halftime of the varsity game. After the varsity game we are asking fans to stick around for postgame autographs on the court!
